Here are a couple of new games you can make to add variety in your teaching.
Make a small hole in the center of a paper plate. Thread a bobby pin through the hole. Cut off a piece of straw the size of the bobby pin and hook in onto the bobby pin. There are so many things you can use this for. If your child is learning letter, write letters around the plate, name a letter and have the child point the bobby pin to the correct letter. You can change this up for numbers, shapes, words (hard or easy), anything new you want to teach the child...addition, subtraction, math games, learning music notes etc.
Here's another simple game you can make. Get 2 small styrofoam cups. On the top of one write "at". On the other write different letters all around that can make words with "at" as their ending, "b, c, m, r, f" etc.
